Jer­sey boys and girls raise cash for char­ity

A group of Cam­bus­lang busi­nesses were feel­ing full of Christ­mas spirit last week.

Sev­eral Main Street shops were spread­ing cheer af­ter don­ning fes­tive jumpers.

They were also rais­ing money for West­burn Youth Club, and An­ge­line Coyle, of the Te­abay cafe, felt the day had been a fun ex­pe­ri­ence.

She said: “These are all good busi­nesses and we wanted to have a bit of fun for Christ­mas.

“We’ve still to check the fi­nal amount for West­burn but there were plenty of do­na­tions too.”

Tak­ing part in the day were Co-op Funeral Care, Cen­tury 21, Classy Chicks,Fin­lay’s Pub, Pan­dora’s Box, the Tea Bay and Mary Bro­gan Flow­ers

Also pop­ping by on the day was Clare Haughey MSP and Ruther­glen coun­cil­lor Ja­nine Ca­likes, while pass­ing lo­cal res­i­dent Gor­don Hayes got in­volved in the fun too.
