Clyde boss Danny Lennon was full of Christmas cheer after a fantastic festive win for the Bully Wee.

Goals from David Goodwillie, John Rankin and Ally Love wrapped up an early Christmas present for the Broadwood side.

The Clyde gaffer said: “We started the game really well and that gave us a terrific platform to win.

“We could have scored more in the first half and that is my only criticism as we could do with being more ruthless.”

And the boss hailed the travelling support at Cliftonhill.

He added: It was another fantastic Clyde support on the road, a lot of Santa Claus’s there today!

“We’re delighted to play our part in the start of the celebrations and getting the fans away happy.

“On behalf of the players and staff we’d like to wish them a Merry Christmas.”

David Goodwillie took the ball past home goalkeeper Peter Morrison and slipped into an empty net to open the scoring after just nine minutes before John Rankin’s lob made it two on 17 minutes.

Ally Love’s header wrapped things up in 82 minutes.

Clyde now face Queen’s Park on Saturday at Broadwood.
