Santa Claus’s very busy day!

Rutherglen Reformer - - Spittal Primary Festive Fun -

Spittal Primary pupils were thrilled when none other than Santa Claus himself dropped into the school.

He paid a visit because the Christmas parties were in full swing.

And despite his busy schedule, he found time to give some of Spittal’s younger pupils an early present.

And one youngster, James Carr had even dressed up as Santa ahead of Father Christmas’ arrival.

Joyce Paterson, the school’s head teacher, said the parties had been a festive treat.

She told the Reformer: “They were great fun, and everyone really enjoyed it.

“There were games played and Christmas songs were sung.

“For the primary one to three classes, we had managed to get Santa to stop by and hand out presents – all the children were thrilled to see him.”
