Westminster visit for pupils
Pupils from Trinity High School demonstrated their potential as politicians of tomorrow during a recent visit to Westminster.
Their local MP, Ged Killen, was their guide during the visit to London, at which fifth and sixth year social subjects pupils were given an insight into the inner workings of parliament.
They learned of the rich history of the House of Parliament and House of Lords and the day was completed with a workshop in which pupils locked horns in competitive debates to prove they are politicians in the making.
During the visit, pupils paid tribute to the victims of World War I in the Imperial War Museum, where they laid a wreath at the foot of the‘Nery Gun’to honour the fallen.
