All organisati­ons and clubs at Fernhill and Cathkin Parish Church have started up again after the Christmas break and all new members will be welcome. Their next Messy Church is on Saturday January 19 from 3.45PM. Please come along to the church hall for an enjoyable time with other families, all are welcome but children must be accompanie­d by an adult. The theme for this Messy Church is the Three Wise Men, and loads of fun, crafts, games and food are promised. Each week Rutherglen Old Parish Church is open from noon until 2pm for Thoughful Thursday, a short time to enjoy tea and chat, and availabili­ty of the sanctuary for some quiet time.

Folks are invited to bring along their lunch, and eat in the comfort of a warm friendly atmosphere. The cafe @the meetingpla­ce at Stonelaw Parish Church is open Monday to Saturday from 10.30am until 12.30pm. The church will also continue with their monthly 30 minute services, on the first Wednesday of every month. The meetings are aimed at people who do not or are unable to attend Sunday services at the church. Tea and coffee are available, along with home baking and a second-hand book stall. The church’s Tuesday Chat group meet every fortnight at 7.30pm.

Eat Up has now resumed at Cambuslang Parish Church, between noon and 2pm.

The church has recently opened a laundry room with washing machine and drier. T in the Croft takes place every Friday morning at Croftfoot Parish Church from 10am until noon. It also hosts Lunch at the Croft on the first Friday of the month, 11.30am -1.30pm. Entry is £1.50. Castlemilk Parish Church holds community meals on the third Friday of the month. Messy Church is on the first Saturday of every month at Burnside Blairbeth. Children’s club Jump takes place in the Blairbeth building on a Wednesday evening from 6-7.30pm for children in P1-P7.

Rutherglen West and Wardlawhil­l Church’s friendship cafe runs every Tuesday from The annual crib appeal boxes are available at the back of St Cadoc’s to help support St Margaret’s Children and Family Care Society. It would be helpful if all boxes could be returned by January 27 to enable contributi­ons to be sent to St Margaret’s Adoption Children and Family Care Society. The Refresh classes takes place every Friday at Croftfoot Parish Church from 2pm until 4pm. It is a chance to enjoy a cuppa and a chat, as well as hand massage, games of pool, spiritual reading and confidenti­al prayer, including healing. God Tock continues every Monday at 7pm at King’s Park Parish Church. A prayer group meet there on Tuesday mornings and on Wednesday evenings.
