Rutherglen Rep were back performing again in 1999 - and according to the Reformer they were being given a “roaring reception”each night.
The popular am dram group was presenting the comedy drama Murder In Play over four performances, taking place at Wardlawhill Church Halls, Stonelaw High’s theatre and the Cambuslang Institute.
The play was about the trials and tribulations of a small production company and their director Boris Milenski, with events taking a turn for the worse when the leading actress is murdered.
Rep chairman Derek Rose explained: “This was something really different for us to try. Murder In Play is a sort of halfway house between comedy and something more serious.
“We have been working on this since January so I’m glad it’s been a success.”
