Today is deadline day to enter the Lanarkshire Open tennis tournament that will be held in Rutherglen later in August.
Taking place at Rutherglen Lawn Tennis Club’s Viewpark and Burnside venues from August 17 until August 24, the tournament is suitable for all ages, with both senior and junior events taking place.
There will be qualifying Cambuslang Rugby Club’s family fun day and clean up is this weekend.
Former Scotland internationals Jim Hamilton events held in the senior competitions.
The tournament, sponsored by DM Hall Chartered Surveyors, is being held in Rutherglen for the first time.
The tournament will also welcome spectators, and snacks will be on sale throughout the event.

Over 40 boxers, young and old, were at the club on Monday as training resumed after the summer break.
Members of the club were also looking back to the last show before the time off.
That saw plenty of the club’s fighters in action, with youngsters Caleb Brown, Michael O’Neil, Luke Stirling and James Morrison taking part in skills contests.
The first contest of the night saw Ryan O’Donnell take a unanimous decision over Bailey Moncreiff from Shire Boxing Club in Wishaw, before Blantyre’s talented Jacob Naismith won every round against his opponent from Bravehearts gym in Stirling.
Next up was Kai Burrell ,beating Scott Grant in a tough contest, before O’Neils first loss came when Connor McCabe was edged out by Cambusnethan’s Arron Bennet in an encounter voted the best fight of the night.
The ever-improving Bradley Welsh showed why he was voted the club’s most improved boxer of the year by beating Jamie Crawford from Sparta, and there was another victory for fast-improving Callum Lees against Lewis Clark.
Taylor McMahon boxed out of his skin against a skilful opponent to win unanimously and also take best boxer of the night honours.
Mathew Taylor lost unanimously against a lad from Cambusnethan with the opponent just working a tad harder, before Josh Harris was up next against a more experienced boxer from Dunfermline and lost a very close split decision.
Eden Brown was up against a more experienced boy from Drumchapel, winning the second and third rounds to take a unanimous decision.
Giordano Bruno’s opponent pulled out at the last minute so he ended up facing an unbeaten strong boy from Dunfermline, who took a close contest with both boys landing big shots.
Stuart Wylie entered one of his best-ever performances to defeat an English boxer by a unanimous decision.
The main event was welterweight Kyle Vannet winning unanimously against Richard McDonald from Alloa, winning his fourth fight in five.
