Sisterson opposing sides in OldFirm derby

-

A pair of Fernhill sisters were on opposite sides of the Old Firm divide on Sunday.

Kodie Hay lined up for Celtic, while younger sibling Brogan was in action for Rangers, in a game played at the K Park in East Kilbride.

And it was Kodie who won the bragging rights, coming on as a second half substitute in Celtic’s 3-1 victory, despite Brogan scoring a 52nd minute consolation for Rangers.

Both sisters previously played together for Glasgow City, before moving away to seek first team football.

The result leaves Celtic second in the table, with Rangers fourth.

Brogan told rangers.co.uk: "I think that in the first half we got off to a slow start. We made it hard for ourselves and caused a lot of running by playing a lot of long balls instead of keeping the ball on the ground and just playing."
