£40,000 salary for Master Biscuitier
A biscuit manufacturer is inviting sweettoothed foodies to apply for a dream job with a salary to match.
Award-winning Lanarkbased Border Biscuits has launched a cookie-fuelled quest to find its first ever ‘ Master Biscuitier’ to join its team.
The successful candidate will not only earn a salary of up to £ 40,000, they will also have the allimportant task of tastetesting Border Biscuits’ delicious range.
With finely- tuned taste buds and a talent for the technical side of baking, the successful applicant will spend their days launching products from the kitchen table to production, enticing new flavours worthy of a place in biscuit tins across the nation, as well as helping to lead the team in continuing to drive innovation, quality and sustainability throughout the business.
Apart from knowing what makes an exceptional biscuit, applicants should be creative, innovative and obsessed with the best, and have an authentic, open, and honest style and a proactive ‘can do’ approach.
The independentlyowned, family-run company is looking for evidence of strong relationship building, influencing, leadership and coaching skills, and someone who is forwardthinking and keeps abreast of advances in technology, ingredients and packaging.
Candidates should have HND/ degree level qualification in either food science, nutrition or food- related studies, and experience of managing branded, private label or food service product development and improvement, preferably in confectionary or bakery.
