This Winter – by Ann McGonnell
It’s a real odd sort of winter We must stay in, you know Not just because it’s stormy Or we’re due some thick, white snow
No – it’s a deadly virus We’ve never seen before We must open up our windows, Let no-one in the door Christmas Day was special
We could be together But with celebrations over Our bonds we had to sever
Now staying far apart Some folk are all alone
Our hospitals are battlefields A Covid germ warzone
We’ll not forget this season But in folk we’ve seen the best Key workers are amazing

Remember Rock Band? Back in November the same developer, Harmonix, dropped Fuser, which more or less makes you the DJ for your very own festival.
You can blend tracks together as you see fit and make even the most outrageous of mixes into absolute bangers.
And we’re here to deliver the perfect news for Brits stuck indoors during these cold and wet days with zilch to do...
Fuser has just dropped a fantastic free, playable demo that’s available on consoles (PS4, Xbox and Nintendo Switch) and PC right now.
The Fuser demo will walk players through the core gameplay, but tracklists are limited to just a handful of options. They include Dua Lipa’s Don’t Start Now, Billie Eilish’s Bad Guy, and Killing In The Name by Rage Against The Machine.
If you’re short of things to do, we highly recommend you give it a spin.
lHyperX is doing a great job taking on the likes of Turtle Beach in the battle to be kings of console earphones.
The new Cloud II headset is now available here after wowing fans in America.
We gave these cans a good run on the PS5 and our verdict is that they are ultimately a fantastic bit of kit if you are looking to get into competitive gaming.
They feel premium while remaining light and comfy – however, they will set you back a hefty £150.
