Search is on for entrepreneurs

-

The search has begun for leading women in the world of business in the Lanarkshire area as entries open for this year’s Business Women Scotland Business Awards.

The key themes of collaboration and sustainability at the annual awards are watch words reflecting the changing ways we have been doing business since the start of the pandemic.

Start-up businesses, women in tech and social media are also among the categories at the awards, back for a seventh year, that mark the achievements of the growing number of women-led businesses and the entrepreneurial talents of women across Scotland.

Categories range from Rising Star of the Year and Established Business of the Year to Inspirational Woman of theYear.

New categories in the 2021 awards include Collaboration Award, Sustainable Business Award and Women in Tech Award.

The awards ceremony on November 19 will be online.

The overall winner of the awards, selected by the judging panel, will receive the prize of a two-week airtime campaign with Go Radio and production of a commercial.

“We want to showcase some of the most enterprising and successful women from around Scotland: women who’ve had the courage to follow their dreams, whether that be starting their own business, making it to the top in their career, or using their expertise and knowledge to help other women be the best they can be,” said Lynne Kennedy MBE, founder of Business Women Scotland.

To enter, visit www.bwsawards.co. uk and the closing date for entries is September 3.
