Name: Peter Werhand Scooter club & town: Rollerpack Neuwied, Lambretta Club of Germany. How and when did you first become interested in scooters: In the early Eighties when I saw somee Mods on scooters at my school. What is your favourite scooter model: Lambretta SX/DL, Vespa Rally. First rally or event: Hamburg scooter Rally 19899. How did you get there: My VESPA 150 Sprint. Any stories: Oh so many: crossing the Humber Bridge in the morning hours in a thunderstorm on the way to the Cleethorpes Rally 2012 was really scary. My mate won a trophy at the Lambretta Rally in Hagen ’92 and a pack of chocolate marshmallows. We had a battle with them. The next morning he couldn’t open his eyes because of the marshmallows stuck to him. He cried: “I’m blind, I’m blind.” Favourite and worst rally/event: Friedeburg ’89 and ’90, Hagen ’89 and ’92, Aachen ’91 (Edwin Starr live on stage) Liege ’11, Margate ’92, Cleethorpes ’12. No worst rally. Funniest experience with a scooter: I found a Lambretta Li/2 1992 in a shed after a 25 year sleep. I just filled it with fresh oil and gas and went full throttle to a rally 300km away without any problems! What’s the furthest you’ve ever ridden on a scooter: 600km to a rally in Lübeck northern Germany. What do you like about rallies/events: Anarchisticc atmosphere at the rallies, meeting friends, the ride to the rally. Your favourite custom/featured scooter of all time: Levie Stubbs Tears, Sonic Dream (the green version).
