What W was your first scooter: This one. What W is your favourite style of custom scooter: s Cut-downs. First F rally or event: VMSC Ryton 2013. How H did you get there: On the back oof dad’s scooter. Any A stories: I was going to Ryton on tthe back of my dad’s scooter. We were ggoing along at a good pace until his sscooter seemed to cut out for no rreason. We checked out what had hhappened… I’d only had my foot over the carburettor intake! Favourite rally: Oddballs 2017 – my first scooter rally proper on my own scooter! What’s the furthest you’ve ever ridden on a scooter: About 120 miles (round trip) to Oxford for the Oddballs Rally. Scooter model: Vespa T5 Classic with PX125 engine Inspiration for project: To get my first scooter, and to get out on the road with my dad, Uncle Keith and Wicked Willy’s SC. Time to build & by whom: Four months by me, Moj, dad and Uncle Keith. Any specialised parts or mods: Legshields cut to the shape of a coffin and modified toolbox (inside the legshields). Engine spec: Standard PX125. Exhaust: Simonini. Paintwork by: Me, with a can of matt black brush-on paint bought from the car boot sale! Overall cost: Around £800. What was the hardest part of the project: The indicator electrics and finding the time to get it completed ready for the 2017 Oddballs Rally. Is there anything still to add to the scoot: I’m hopefully going to replace the PX125 engine with the original T5 engine soon. In hindsight, is there anything you would have done differently: Maybe dad could have got me a running one? (Only joking!)
