Welcome to the latest Vespa Club of Britain update. I hope you are all enjoying the hot weather and getting out on your scooters!

- Russ Machin On behalf of the Vespa Club of Britain Committee

It has been a busy year so far for us all here at the Vespa Club of Britain, more especially the competitions which have been in full flow. We have had record numbers signing on in the Attendance Championship, and the Riders Regional Competition has over 200 members taking part. A lot of riders have completed their own region and other regions as well, which highlights perfectly the demand for these events. These competitions are open to all Vespa Club of Britain members.

Vespa World Days was a fantastic event with many members covering hundreds of miles to get there on their scooters and a lot also ‘doing the double’ and attending Vespa Alps Days on the way back. Further details of these events will be in a separate write-up.

Lots of members are already looking forward to next year’s EuroVespa event, which takes place in Portugal (July 2020). As well as this event, Vespa World Days is taking place in Bali with some members already making plans. Tickets for these events will be available to Vespa Club of Britain members nearer the time and will be advertised in the Vespa Club magazine, Vespa News.

Our main event this year is British Vespa Days at Llangollen Pavilion in North Wales. Although weekend tickets for this event have sold out, there will be day passes on offer at £5 per day payable on the gate upon showing your up-to-date membership card.

Plans are already afoot for several events next year. The first one of these is The Charles Caswell Centenary Event, which takes place in Essex in April, 2020. Further details can be found in

the Vespa Club magazine, Vespa News.

The annual Vespa Club of Britain AGM takes place at the Marriott Hotel in Bournemouth on November 23, 2019. The Vespa Club of Britain is one of the longest running owners’ clubs in the world, running since 1952.

Membership is available to anyone who has an interest in Vespas and all things Vespa related. Membership is £16 for individual membership and £26 for family membership, which includes two adults and up to three children aged up to 18 years.

For further details of how to join or any other information please contact the Club Secretary by email at club-sec@ vespaclub.uk.
