SCOOTER DETAILS

Name of scooter & reason: Evelyn, after my daughter.

Scooter model: 1959 Series 1 Li150.

Inspiration for project: I'd previously bought a general sale Series 2 from Claudio. I'd always wanted a Series 1 built to my own specifications. I contacted Claudio and he was able to complete the project.

Time to build & by who: Around nine months by Claudio Cattaneo of Custom Lambretta, Italy.

Any specialised parts or mods: Custom fit LD mudguard with extended horncast fins. Custom Daytona Velona speedo housed into original bezel. Harley-Davidson rear tombstone light. Lights upgraded to LED all round. LD butty box with custom fit CHT gauge and rev counter. All dials have synchronised full sweeping function on startup also. Retrofit speedo trip switches built into headset. Frame loop toolbox door deleted and smoothed into frame. Custom design side-opening toolbox door behind side panel to maintain use of the toolbox. Reg plate sprayed directly on to frame loop and vintage coloured vinyl lettering used.

ENGINE SPEC:

Kit: Li150 with Quattrini 210.

Ignition: Casa/Ducati Varitronic AC/DC 12v.

Crank: Tameni TV175.

Carb: Dell'Orto PHBH 28mm.

Exhaust: Custom made by Chiselspeed CST12 Curly (Race). Clutch: Surflex five-plate.

Gearbox: AF Rayspeed close-ratio five-speed.

Dyno done by: Chiselspeed (24.82hp 19.6ft-lb torque). What brand of oil do you run: Putoline Scooter X or Rock Oil Synthesis at 3%.

CHASSIS SPEC:

Tyres: CST white walls.

Rims: BGM stainless.

Suspension: BGM.

Speedo: Verona.

Grips: Casa.

Levers: Casa for steering levers.

Linkages: JJP.

Cable brand: Casa.

Seat: Trezzi Dante Fastback – custom design.

Fuel tank & tap: Standard tank with OMP fast-flow tap. Hubs: Nissin front hub, Standard Innocenti rear. Brakes: Nissin semi-hydraulic.

Describe engine performance and scooter handling: For a small-block engine, I genuinely don't think there is anything out there tthat performs as well as the Quattrini 210. The current se t-up is high revving with the CST12 but it still has

good loww- end grunt.

Top p speed & cruising speed: Top: 75mph. Cruising:

6 0mph.
