Overview: Whereas the SS200/225 (X6 and X7) cylinder kits outlined above will fit directly on to a standard Lambretta casing, the SSR Scuderia engine (X211s) is a complete plug and play unit. The cylinder is a specific fit to the aftermarket Casa case, which has an alternative stud pattern variation, to accommodate this kit, and the whopping crank it runs. The Casa X230s Scuderia cylinder kit, when mated to the Casa case, and built up in-house
at RLC using Casa high-spec components, such as the 68mm stroke X212L crank, Casatronic Ducati ‘Race' ignition and other such high end items, is the most expensive complete ‘plug and play' engine ever produced for the Lambretta and offers top performance. Virtually every part has been specifically manufactured to offer the discerning customer the ultimate Lambretta engine, claiming a top speed of 100mph and race-like acceleration to match. This engine is the top of the Casa Performance range with slightly less powerful options, such as the SST 265(X211t) available at a cheaper price. With the big price tag of the engine and the performance it claims, is there any need to try and extract any more from it for road use? Probably not, but no doubt someone will try in the future... In fact they did, Casa Performance themselves! RLC have been featured in a rather tantalising video currently trending on social media, showing a 56hp LC (liquid cooled) version of the kit. Just when you thought things couldn't get any crazier, someone goes and offers possibly the most mental kit ever. Make sure the rest of your brakes, suspension and scooter geometry is up to part, for god's sake!
TOP TIP: For all Casa Performance items, given the current issues with import tariffs, enquire with UK Casa Dealer JB Tuning for best pricing options first.
