A look at the new BGM PRO Clubman Sport exhaust system

In this month’s article I can hopefully bring you something that’s as new as a freshly laid egg. It’s always a challenge to draw your attention to items that are brand spanking new – by the time the feature has gone to print, they’ve often been posted on social media.

So, without further ado, I would like to present to you another brand-new, red hot and very trick item from the Fleiflige Bienen at BGM, over there in Germany, in the shape of their new sports exhaust for the Lambretta.

The BGM PRO Big Box Sport Clubman exhaust for the Lambretta Series 1, 2 and

3 is based on their Big Box V4. They call it ‘Sport', because it brings more power over the complete band on all comparison engines. This makes the Big Box Sport the most powerful Big Box system ever made by BGM.

The increase in performance was achieved by redesigning the internal damper chamber. This has made it necessary to install a hidden silencer under the engine. The exhaust body is compatible with existing manifolds and the box itself can be easily changed.

The box is available with manifolds for the following engines:

RT195, RT225, original cylinders, Granturismo GT186, GT200, GT240, Mugello, Rapido, SR and all other cylinders with oval exhaust ports.

On the TS1 200, TS1 225, Monza and other derivatives with round exhaust ports, the appropriate exhaust flange is sufficient.

On the Quattrini M210, it needs the appropriate Quattrini manifold and flange and similarly with Simonini cylinders on appropriate cases, like the Killercase, it needs an appropriate manifold and the TS1 exhaust flange.

The tried and proven features of the Big Box Version 4 have of course been adopted, such as brazed brackets and mounting plates, which have been doubled up, with reworked insulation to give a quieter exhaust. A large volume of the exhaust body, manifold and spring-mountings have been reinforced at all stress points. Mounting as on the racing exhaust for perfect and stress-free installation. The exhaust comes with all parts required for mounting.
