Solving Vespa storage space
When we do get out and about, be it on an epic adventure, or just to get your quick fix of two-stroke classic scooter fun, it’s always handy to have the option of being able to take all your ‘stuff’ with you – even if it’s just the very basics, such as mobile phone, hand sanitiser, face covering, keys, wallet, phone charger and any assortment of modern-day clutter that we feel we require…
From a personal perspective all of the above is stuff that I spend half my time looking for; then I end up exiting the house, trying to lock the door with my arms full of nonsense just like a Crackerjack contestant playing Double or Drop.
(Ed: You’re showing your age a bit there Chris).
Well, those clever Italians with their love for design and the classic Vespa have once again come up trumps with these handy, versatile and very stylish pieces of easily removable luggage.
Those of you that regularly read this page may remember a few months back I featured a rather nice legshield bag from Tino Sacchi, which was specifically for the Lambretta scooter.
This time I would like to present to you an item along the same theme, designed by Mauro Mulas, but this time specifically for the lines and curves of the classic Vespa.
I give you …
THE M&R VESPABAG
According to the supplier: “The VespaBag is the perfect addition to any Vespa. Designed as a legshield bag, it offers plenty of storage space for this and that. It hugs the shape of the Vespa legshield, both outside and inside. It is attached by integrated hooks and can be removed with a flick of the wrist so that you can take it with you and use it as a shoulder bag.”
MADE IN ITALIA – ITALIAN CRAFTSMANSHIP
These nice Vespa bags were designed by
Mauro Mulas for all vintage Vespa models. The production is done in co-operation with an experienced Italian saddler, who handcrafts the bags in his workshop in the middle of Tuscany with great attention to detail – real Italian craftsmanship from picturesque Tuscany! These masterpieces are available in different colours and are suitable for almost all Vespa models – from the year of construction 1946, until the last hand-shifted models.
