Tourist’s plea to lynch mob

-

A FATHER burned alive on a tourist beach was recorded screaming ‘I am innocent’ by the lynch mob that attacked him, it has emerged.

Sebastien Judalet, 38, can be heard begging for mercy as he was stripped, tortured and set alight on a popular tourist beach in Nosy Be, Madagascar. The French bus driver was killed by the 300-strong mob last week, along with hotel worker Roberto Gianfala, a French-Italian in his 50s.

They were accused of being paedophiles who had murdered and mutilated a local boy. Police said there was nothing to connect the men to the boy. Mr Judalet can be heard yelling that he is not a paedophile but adding ‘I love kids. I have a little girl’.

The mob also killed the boy’s uncle. Madagascar police have arrested 26 people and have stepped up security for foreigners. French detectives are expected to travel to the island.
