Single Amy takes on Universe

-

THEY met when she modelled his priceless jewels. The attraction was instantaneous: he by her beauty, she by his riches.

Within weeks willowy Amy Willerton was sharing her life with the multi-millionaire diamond dealer Mohamed Shawesh.

But alas, two years on the sparkle has gone out of their relationship and Amy has left Mohamed’s £3 million Lake Geneva villa and also moved out of their Notting Hill love-nest. ‘We were madly in love — but then he dumped me on holiday,’ says languid Amy.

‘I was quite shocked at first, but I think that it was a classic case of me not being able to gi ve hi m enough attention.

‘I need to focus on my career because I’m very ambitious and it’s much more difficult with a man around.

‘I’m back in London, fitness training to compete in Miss Universe in Moscow this November,’ Amy, 21, tells me. Shawesh made a name for himself when he marketed t he world’s most expensive diamond ring — a 150-carat stone with a £ 43 million price tag.

‘I was upset when we parted, but then I realised it was the best thing that can happen if something is not right,’ says Amy.

‘ It’s just like a marriage break-up — because we have agreed joint custody of our adorable chow dog Yogi.’
