Home loan hurt

HOMEOWNERS with an interest-only Santander mortgage have to provide a plan for how they will repay their loan.

The bank is the latest to contact borrowers with a loan that finishes before 2020 to gain details on paying back the capital, rather than just the interest.

The move aims to help interest-only borrowers avoid problems repaying the money at the end of the term.
