Making light of work

-

KARL MARX got it right when he saw workers becoming extensions of a machine. The life and spirit and possible enjoyment of work is fast disappearing as working people seem t o be j ust extensions of t he computer.

The consequence is that rich people, with the soulless contracts they issue to the workers, are simply getting richer and the gap between rich and poor is growing larger.

The more enjoyable and meaningful work is, the harder people want to strive — which can mean making a greater profit.

The best way, for instance, of getting the long-term unemployed back to work is for work to be made more meaningful.

The happiest societies are those which are more equal and where people enjoy their work and other aspects of their lives.
