Naked truth
I SYMPATHISE with artist Danita Gray who felt obliged to withdraw her paintings from an art exhibition in Birmingham Botanical Gardens Gallery because of objections by a teacher leading a multi-ethnic group visit to the gallery.
If an unmade bed, pile of bricks or elephant dung attached to a wall can be regarded as art, then what objection can there possibly be to the nude human form?
The fact that the authorities — whether they were botanical authorities or authorities from the art world — would concede to this unwarranted objection just shows how this country is being forced into excessive political correctness by minority groups. This state of affairs, in the interest of overall good relations, must stop.
