Ince punished with a five-match ban

-

BLACKPOOL boss Paul Ince has been handed a five-match stadium ban and a £4,000 fine by the FA after being found guilty of violent conduct towards a fourth official last month. Sportsmail can reveal the extraordinary scenes in the tunnel that led to the severe punishment. Ince was hit with a triple charge after being sent to the stand for accidentally throwing a bottle into the crowd that hit a female steward during a 2-1 win at Bournemouth. A source said the Blackpool manager then used extreme threatening language and pushed fourth official Mark Pottage against a wall in the tunnel after the final whistle at Dean Court. During the game, Ince, 45, had watched referee Oliver Langford send off Blackpool left-back Jack Robinson before striker Nathan Delfouneso missed a clear chance to make the result safe. This second incident riled Ince, who threw the bottle. That led Pottage to advise Langford to send Ince to the stand. After the game, he confronted the referee and assistants. The Blackpool boss was heard to threaten the referee with violence but Ince focused on fourth official Pottage. He is said to have shoved him with both hands so he fell backwards onto a wall before the former England star was dragged away by players and stewards.
