Blonde ambition is back as Mone gives up on grey

- Daily Mail Reporter

WITH her hair pulled back revealing grey roots, her plunging neckline wasn’t the only distraction on the red carpet on Monday night.

But barely three days later, it seems Michelle Mone has quickly gone back to her favourite blonde shade.

The 42-year-old was spotted, her voluminous hair in curlers, hurrying to Glasgow’s Queen Street station yesterday. The Ultimo founder lugged a Louis Vuitton suitcase as she headed to catch a train for Newcastle, where she was the keynote speaker at a £7 -ahead annual dinner for chartered accountants.

Mone has previously admitted she takes good care of her hair. Indeed, she said her guilty pleasure was having her

hair professionally blow-dried five times a week.

The lingerie tycoon surprised many when she proudly showed off her silver roots at the Pride of Britain awards on Monday.

Online commentators were critical of the look. ‘London Girl’, from Highgate, wrote on Mail Online: ‘She’s so pretty, but the grey hair ages her 20 years.’

However, other commentators supported her decision. ‘Barbara’, from Edinburgh, wrote: ‘There’s nothing wrong with silver, grey or white. It’s natural, painless and – if cut well and looked after – looks stunning!’

Many, though, were captivated by her low-cut red dress. An hour before the ceremony at London’s Grosvenor House Hotel, Mone happily tweeted to her 200,000 followers that she had finally squeezed into the figure-hugging frock after a fitness regime and diet.

She has previously said she goes for a five-mile jog every day, a strict regime that has helped her lose nearly 7st. Mone has made a triumphant return to public life following her divorce from ex-husband Michael, who left her for a close friend and senior employee.

Not only did the bitter split cost her £24million to buy her ex-husband out of the business, Mr Mone also announced he was setting up a rival lingerie company.
