Yasmin, still as f lawless as ever at not-quite-50
SHE has said she felt insecure about her body as she approached her 50th year.
But Yasmin Le Bon looked every inch her supermodel self yesterday as she launched a swimwear range.
Mrs Le Bon, 49, was unveiled as the face and body of the latest Speedo Sculpture collection, in a series of images that showcased her still sensational figure.
It would certainly seem she has shrugged off any insecurities about ageing. Adopting a range of poolside poses, she showed off her toned legs and sleek physique during a photoshoot to promote the collection for Speedo, which was founded by Scot Alexander MacRae.
Her body betrayed little sign of the three children she has brought up with 55-year-old Duran Duran frontman husband Simon Le Bon – Amber, 24, Saffron, 22, and Tallulah, 20.
Earlier this year, Mrs Le Bon, who has also fronted campaigns for Calvin Klein, Versace, Chanel and Marks & Spencer, admitted she felt insecure about her looks.
She said growing older had caused her ‘ really horrendous days’ at times.
She has also released a handbook of tips on how to look good in a swimsuit, including walking with pointed toes, having your hair swept to one side and simply smiling.
She said: ‘After spending 33 years on the modelling circuit, I have heard all of the tricks of the trade. The best advice I’ve received on looking your best in a swimsuit is to wear it with confidence and a smile. It instantly changes your appearance.’
Speedo UK marketing manager Sally Polak said: ‘We understand the approach of summer can give rise to body confidence issues among many women, which is why we’re working with Yasmin to help tackle these anxieties.’
