23 years on, the original selfie stars
IT might be 23 years since they took what is widely regarded as the first on-screen selfie. In 1991, the word probably hadn’t even been invented.
But Susan Sarandon, now 67, and Geena Davis, 58, have recreated their famous pose from Thelma & Louise – and hardly look a day older.
Mrs Sarandon posted the picture on her Twitter account on Thursday with the caption: ‘Inventors of the selfie at it again. #ThelmaAndLouise.’ The actresses, who received Oscar nominations for their parts in the Ridley Scott film, have remained firm friends and are now both mothers-of-three.
