Israelis looking to prise Zaluska from Parkhead
MACCABI HAIFA are on the trail of Celtic’s Polish keeper Lukasz Zaluska. The Israeli club are thought to be keen on the 32-year-old, who has been playing back-up to first-choice goalkeeper Fraser Forster in recent seasons. Zaluska has one season left on his current Parkhead deal after signing from Dundee United back in 2009 and the shotstopper could be tempted by a potential money-spinning move to ‘The Greens’, who are bidding to improve on finishing fifth in the Israeli Premier League last season. Celtic midfielder Beram Kayal began his career at Haifa, while ex-Parkhead ace Eyal Berkovic also starred for them.
