Stars donate their favourite shoes to raise cash for charity
ROD Stewart is still pretty nimble on his feet for a 69-year- old rocker – and now fans have a chance to step into his shoes.
The veteran singer has put a pair of his favourite mint green Versace loafers into an online charity auction.
The size 9½ shoes are being sold f or the Small Steps Project, a charity that helps street children worldwide.
Fellow Scots rocker Annie Lennox has donated a pair of ‘ used’ red shoes, alongside celebrities including Beyoncé and Art Garfunkel.
Stewart tweeted yesterday: ‘Help @SmallStepsDocs provide relief to children living on rubbish dumps by bidding on a pair of my favourite shoes.’
By last night the rock star’s signed footwear had attracted 30 bids and had reached £285.

The deadline for buyers is midnight on Sunday.
Lennox’s ‘granny- type’ Anthony shoes had 19 bids and last night stood at £250.
The British-based charity aims to provide shoes to children who rely on rubbish dumps and landfill sites to survive.
It says the goal is to ‘enable them to take small steps out of poverty’.
The charity also provides hygiene kits and emergency aid to help youngsters and their families who are forced to live in crippling poverty.
Former Wimbledon champion Andy Murray has donated a pair of size 11½ Adidas training shoes for the sports stars’ auction, which begins online next week.
