Ring swap hints Emilia could be chef Marco’s No 4

-

FOR gorgeous actress Emilia Fox, the course of true love never did run smooth. Her marriage to actor Jared Harris lasted just four years, while a relationship with Jeremy Gilley lasted barely a year after she gave birth to their daughter.

Her three-year romance with fiery chef Marco Pierre White is proving to be no less complicated.

This week the actress was snapped leaving her West London home sporting what looked like an engagement ring on her left hand, appearing to confirm talk among friends that the pair have recently become engaged.

But while touring the studios to promote the latest series of Silent Witness, Emilia was decidedly more bashful about showing off the ring. While she was on ITV’s This Morning, the ring had been moved over onto her right hand.

A spokesman wouldn’t comment yesterday on the status of Emilia’s relationship with White. It is thought their reluctance to announce an engagement could be because Marco is still married to his third wife, Mati, who is mother to his three children.

She and Marco split in 2007 after seven years of marriage, prompting a bitter — and very public — continuing divorce battle, resulting in both parties running up legal bills reckoned to be as much as £3 million.

Things turned particularly nasty in 2012 when former waitress Mati, 49, admitted to causing £12,000 worth of damage to Marco’s top–of–the–range Range Rover after smashing both windscreens with a child’s scooter outside his Holland Park home.

If Marco marries Emilia it will be his fourth trip down the aisle, after a two- year marriage to surgeon’s daughter Alex McArthur and an even briefer union with model Lisa Butcher, which lasted 15 weeks.

Of his new paramour, Marco recently gushed: ‘She’s a wonderful person and we have a very special relationship. I feel very safe and very loved with Emilia. I am very comfortable with her. We first met years ago and I’ve always enjoyed her company. She’s the kindest human being you’ve ever met.’

IT’S a familiar social dilemma. ‘Flipping heck, just dropped a nut down my top,’ says ‘cleavage-selfie Queen’ Karen Danczuk, wife of campaigning Labour MP Simon Danczuk. ‘Do I leave it there and act normal or try to remove it discreetly? I’m surrounded by men.’ Hard to believe that Mrs Danczuk has ever acted normal, let alone behaved discreetly.

self- -confessed workaholic choreographer Arlene Phillips says if she wasn’t in a close relationship with set designer Angus Ion she would be i n danger of turning into a cougar.

This follows an intriguing encounter with a mysterious stranger.

‘I can’t believe it but I got chatted up on a train to crewe by a really handsome sportsman,’ exstrictly star Arlene, 71, tells me. ‘I was shocked and a bit excited.’

‘He was American, only 37 and 6ft 7in tall. When I was y ounger I had a raunchy love life. But I’ve given all that up now. I’m still in shock.

‘I could have been a cougar if I’d stayed single. But nothing is worth jeopardising my relationship for. even though we’ve never married he means everything to me.’
