COOK FACES DRUGS BAN

DANNY COOK, a Cheltenham Festival-winning jockey on Great Endeavour in 2010, has been suspended by the BHA pending a disciplinary hearing after testing positive for benzoylecgonine, a metabolite of cocaine. Cook, 31, issued a statement through the Professional Jockeys Association apologising and saying he ‘accepts the finding’.
