Little Luther is a big surprise

PERHAPS it’s a backlash against Frozen merchandise, but a plastic figurine of priest Martin Luther has become the fastestselling product made by toy giant Playmobil.

The first edition of 34,000 sold out in 72 hours, and a fresh batch won’t be available until April.

‘Little Luther’ is being produced for the 600th anniversary of the Protestant Reformation in 2017. The German toymaker admits the sales are ‘a huge surprise’.
