FREDDIE FOX
will play one half of those star-crossed lovers in Romeo And Juliet in Sheffield for a month from September 17.
I’m told that director Jonathan Humphreys wants to do something radical with it, including cutting the piece back. He describes the play as a carnival ‘about the rush of life’. Fox is hot right now, coming off the Matthew Warchus film Pride and the C4 dramas Cucumber and Banana.
Kenneth Branagh, as I revealed recently, is directing another Romeo And Juliet, at the Garrick, with Lily James and Richard Madden.
