Evil trolls

iT WAS absolutely shocking to read how vile internet trolls have been attacking BBc political editor Nick Robinson over his cancer operation (Mail). i always enjoy his political reporting.

it’ s really very sad that Yes supporters wanted him sacked during the referendum campaign. As it happens, if it had been a Yes vote, i believe Scotland would be bankrupt by now. if those people don’t like what Nick Robinson reports, they should simply switch off the TV.

Mr Robinson, however, should appreciate that he’s a lucky man in having the tumour removed from his lung. Two weeks ago, a family relative of ours was diagnosed with a large progressive tumour deep in his lung and in his case the doctors could do nothing for him. They gave him weeks to live but those weeks rapidly turned into days and, sadly, this relative died last week.

Our family is in shock and still trying to come to terms with this tragedy, as our relative deteriorated so fast, it was unbelievable. i hope Mr Robinson has a successful operation and i wish him well for a full and healthy recovery. i will look forward to seeing him reporting again on BBc television.
