LAURA MUIR’S bid to banish a disappointing 2014 begins today as she sets her sights on a first major championship medal at the European Indoor Championships in Prague. The 21-year-old Scottish athlete failed to make her mark at either the Commonwealth Games or European Championships last year, but is eager to make amends, starting with this afternoon’s heats of the 3,000metres. Muir said: ‘I know what I want to achieve and I have to believe that, if I work for it, I will get it.’
