I’m out... on the town with beauty queen
AS one of the fieriest panellists on Dragon’s Den, Duncan Bannatyne may be famous for telling potential business partners: ‘I’m out.’
But the TV star and health club mogul appears keen to invest in love again after being snapped out on the town with his new lady friend – 34-year-old former beauty queen Michelle Evans.
Bannatyne, 66, who has quit the hit BBC show, was heartbroken in 2011 when his second wife Joanne McCue informed him by text message she had filed for divorce.
But he appears to have found happiness again after he was spotted enjoying a romantic dinner with the former Miss Great Britain at Manchester’s swanky San Carlo restaurant on Thursday night.
He and the blonde yoga teacher could not stop smiling as they stepped outside hand in hand and posed for pictures together.
Mother of one Miss Evans, who was Miss Great Britain in 2001, showed off her trim figure in a striking blue dress and black furry jacket. Bannatyne looked suave in a suit and open-necked shirt.
Yesterday, Miss Evans tweeted: ‘Good morning! Very enjoyable time last night with @DuncanBannatyne at #sancarlo xx.’
Other photos she shared online under her Twitter name Boho Goddess suggest they may have been seeing each for some months. They spent Valentine’s Day together and last month Miss Evans posted a photo of Bannatyne enjoying his birthday cake with the words: ‘@ DuncanBannatyne: Birthday cake this cake was super-sized !! Birthday celebration.’
Back in November, the couple were pictured at the Miss Great Britain pageant where Bannatyne was one of the judges.
Writing in 2013 about his split from Miss McCue, the tycoon said: ‘Not only did it crush me financially… but the psychological damage was far worse.’
