Builder’s Churchill tattoo thrills Soames

SIR NICHOLAS SOAMES marked the 50th anniversary of his grandfather Sir Winston Churchill’s death yesterday by visiting a Dudley shopping centre that bears his name.

And he was delighted to meet a construction worker (right) with a tattoo of the great man on his back. ‘Great to be shown superb tattoo of WSC,’ he tweeted.

Sir Nicholas holds his grandfather in high esteem. On visiting his bedroom as a young boy, he asked: ‘Is it true, you are the greatest man in the world?’ Sitting up in bed, Winston replied: ‘Yes I am. Now bugger off.’
