Mosley scion rises to power
HIS ancestor founded the British Union of Facists, but Oliver Mosley has become leader of a rather more respectable union.
The great-great-nephew of Sir Oswald Mosley has been elected president of the Cambridge Union, where distinguished politicians including former Chancellor Ken Clarke and ex-Tory leader Michael Howard cut their teeth.
Described as a ‘cheeky chappie’, political science undergraduate Oliver was named last year by a student newspaper as one of the most desirable men at Cambridge. This was clearly a view shared by anarchic comic Russell Brand. Boasts Oliver: ‘When Russell came to the Union he declared me to be beautiful.’
