WHITE? RED? NO, ORANGE!

-

YOU may have thought your wine options were limited to white, red and rose — but wine buffs have been raving about the trend for amber wine, and now, it’s sneaking onto the High Street. When Marks and Spencer launched its first bottle (Tbilvino Quevris, £9) in 2013, it sold out within three weeks. So why is this wine so delicious? It’s made from the same grapes as its white cousin but the skins are left on during maceration and fermentation. This gives a dense-tasting wine that’s rich in tannins like a red, but light like a crisp white. Enjoy it with fish or white meat for a variation on your usual Pinot Grigio.
