Now it’s Ewan’s daughter’s turn to step in front of the camera
EWAN McGregor’s daughter Clara has taken her first strides in the world of modelling.
The 19-year-old has stepped in front of the lens for a showcase website promoting the work of aspiring US photographer Anthony Tran.
The Trainspotting star’s eldest daughter is studying photography at New York University’s Tisch School of the Arts.
Last year the teenager, who hopes to become a professional photographer, launched her own online gallery of her work.
It features intimate family portraits and Miss McGregor, who grew up in Hollywood, said her film star father has backed her every step of the way – even when she told him acting was not for her. She has previously said: ‘My parents have always been very supportive and they have encouraged me to keep working hard on it.
‘I’ve never been tempted to try acting, it’s not for me. As a little girl I tried acting, but it was never anything I pursued as I grew up.’
The student, who has inherited her striking looks from her father and mother Eve, wants to snap celebrities rather than join their ranks.
She said: ‘Ever since I was little I always had a camera which I would walk around with.
‘I really enjoyed taking photographs and, as I got older, I felt I could be good at it. It’s a tough industry to crack, but a very interesting one.’
