HER soaring hemlines and plunging necklines have certainly been raising eyebrows over the past few weeks. And as Amanda Holden’s big reveal reached its final instalment last night, her fellow Britain’s Got Talent judge decided to get in on the act as well.

During the talent show final both Alesha Dixon and Miss Holden chose eyewateringly low- cut dresses which featured daring splits to the thigh.

Amanda, 44, went for a flowing chiffon gown by Lebanese designer Tony Ward. And Miss Dixon, 36, moved away from the more modest trouser suit she sported in the semi-final, opting instead for a black embellished body-con dress.

Miss Holden’s outfit – which she described as ‘Frozen meets Cinderella’ – prompted presenter Ant McPartlin to ask: ‘Is that kind of dress allowed on TV?’ Her dresses have so far included a nude gown with a precarious neckline and a dangerously high split, which viewers called ‘not suitable for family TV’.

The mother-of-two even found herself having to defend her dresses on Twitter before the show. She wrote: ‘They’ve got incredibly talented designers a lot of publicity so it’s all good.’ Last night along with their fellow judges Simon Cowell and David Walliams, the two women watched as 12 finalists battled for a £250,000 prize and the chance to perform at the Royal Variety Show.

Jesse-Jane McParland, a nine-year-old martial arts expert, was pulled back into the competition as the audience’s wildcard. Singer Calum Scott, 26, also proved popular. Meanwhile, Cowell had the tissues at the ready for The Neales, three sons and their father Laurie Neale, 59. The famously tough judge – who became a father for the first time last year – found himself overcome by emotion when the act sang Cat Stevens’ Father and Son in Thursday’s semi-final.

But the eventual winner was talented border collie Matisse, who earlier completed an impressive circus act with the help of owner Jules O’Dwyer, 49.
