Come on Mum, give us a great big cuddle
AS they hug and kiss, it’s clear even for mighty gorillas, there’s nothing quite like a cuddle with mum.
Scots photographer Graham McGeorge captured the western lowland gorillas on camera at Jacksonville Zoo in Florida.
The 43-year-old, from Dumfries – who has lived in America for 20 years – took one shot of two-month-old George being given a kiss and cuddle by his mother, Bulera, while in another image, proud Madini wrapped her arms around her 30-day-old baby Patty.
Mr McGeorge’s pictures show the loving nature of the species, which is critically endangered in the wild.
He said: ‘I went in the hope that I could get lucky, and get a quick peep at the wee one. After spending two and a half hours there, mum finally came with baby in hand and found a good spot in the shade.’
