Buffalo burger, anyone?

-

LOVE a burger, but want to keep an eye on your cholesterol? Aldi has launched healthy buffalo burgers at a super-lean price.

Made by Dundee-based producer Highland Game, they are leaner than a normal beefburger and have less cholesterol than chicken burgers.

The buffalo meat has been mixed with onion and s easonings to create juicy, fat burgers with a mild, gamey flavour. Tony Baines, Aldi’s joint managing director of corporate buying, is expecting great demand for them.

‘After the frenzy surrounding our Wagyu burgers, we wanted to offer something new to excite our customers,’ he says.

‘Aldi shoppers love to try exotic products and these burgers are made from premium buffalo meat, so we’re sure they’ll love them.’
