Scotrail and the Scottish Daily Mail is offering five lucky readers the chance to win a pair of first class tickets. Winners will relive the golden age of steam travel and can choose from one of the following experience­s.

On Saturday, June 20, the service will travel from Stirling to Inverness. Travellers will enjoy views of Stirling Castle, the river Tay and Blair Atholl, before passing through the Cairngorms national park via Aviemore en route to Inverness.

On Sunday, June 21, the Tornado will travel from Inverness to Brora, stopping at Invergordo­n and skirting the Cromarty and Dornoch firths, before looping back to meet the coast at Dunrobin Castle.

On Monday, June 22, the train will return to Stirling from Inverness through the Cairngorms with stops at Kingussie and perth.

On Saturday, June 27, the Carlisle Circular will leave Carlisle and travel up the West Coast mainline towards Glasgow before returning via Ayrshire and Dumfriessh­ire.
