VETERAN keeper Rab Douglas is to play on beyond his 44th birthday after agreeing a contract extension with Forfar Athletic. The former Celtic and Dundee No 1 (right), who turned 43 in April, joined Dick Campbell’s side in 2013. Douglas made a mistake in the PlayOff Final against Alloa, contributing to the 3-0 second-leg defeat that denied the Angus club promotion, but the former Scotland cap has agreed fresh terms at Station Park. MONTROSE manager Paul Hegarty has signed a new two-year contract after leading the Gable Endies to SPFL safety. The Dundee United legend took over at Links Park in February and led his side to a 3-2 aggregate win against Highland League champions Brora Rangers in the pyramid relegation Play-Off to retain their place in League Two.
