FUN ACTIONER
Rush Hour, 9pm, ITV2
THIS daft buddy-cop comedy is one of the highest-grossing martial arts movies ever, and it’s easy to see why, given the relaxed chemistry between stars Jackie Chan and Chris Tucker. Enjoyable, knockabout stuff, about chalk-andcheese cops on the trail of a mysterious mob boss in LA.
STAR PROFILE Erotic Adventures Of Anais Nin, 9pm, Sky Arts
DRAMATISATION of the life of the author and diarist synonymous with erotica, thoughtfully and explicitly told in her own words. Focusing on her time in the bohemian Paris of the Twenties and Thirties, it foregrounds the fact that, despite her contribution to literature, she is still better known for her salacious personal life.
STORYVILLE Circus Elephant Rampage, 9pm, BBC4
A TABLOID title for an otherwise considered documentary telling the tragic story of Tyke, a circus elephant that killed a trainer and injured spectators in Honolulu in 1994. She isn’t painted as simply a villain or a martyr; instead, Tyke emerges as a creature surrounded by humans who felt a deep connection with her.
