TRAGIC VICTIMS... KILLED THREE DAYS BEFORE CHRISTMAS

Glasgow University graduate Miss Tait taught at the city’s St Philomena’s Primary. Ex-pupils described Miss Tait, 29, who lived in Riddrie, Glasgow, with parents Alan and Margaret, as ‘amazing’.
Gillian Ewing:
Events co-ordinator Miss Ewing, 52, had spent last year in Cyprus but had flown home to Edinburgh to be wi t h daughters Robyn and Lucy. She was shopping when tragedy struck.
Jack and Lorraine Sweeney:
The couple from Dumbarton were childhood sweethearts who had been married for more than 45 years. Mr Sweeney, 68, a retired TV engineer, and his 69year-old wife had lived for a time in Canada before returning to their home town. At their funeral, the Archbishop of Glasgow, Most Rev Philip Tartaglia, said the Sweeneys, Erin McQuade’s grandparents, had been ‘responsible for creating a close and loving family’.
Erin McQuade:
The 18-year-old Glasgow University student was the youngest to die. The ‘bubbly yet conscientious’ teen had spent the summer working at Cameron House on Loch Lomond.
Jacqueline Morton:
Tax official Miss Morton, 51, from Glasgow, had left work early to pick up her two granddaughters. Her cousin Senga Atley described her as ‘a kind person who enjoyed a party’.
