Party time for George, aged two

-

PRINCE George enjoyed a fun-filled second birthday party yesterday – with his father and great- grandfather t here to share it.

William, who started a new role as an air ambulance pilot just over a week ago, had been expected to miss his son’s big day due to work commitments.

But fortunately for the prince, he was on a rostered day off.

Another surprise guest at the afternoon party at Anmer Hall – Kate and William’s Norfolk mansion – was Prince Philip.

The 94-year-old is spending the week at nearby Sandringham House before heading to Royal Deeside to j oin t he Queen at Balmoral.

The party for George started at around 4pm.

Later the sound of excited children shouting could be heard coming from the garden, although heavy rain soon f orced the action inside.

Prince Charles and the Duchess of Cornwall were not able to attend as they were on an official visit to the West Country.

The Duchess of Cambridge’s mother, Carole Middleton, who runs a party paraphernalia business, is believed to have arrived alone at Anmer Hall in time to help set up.
