- Daily Mail Reporter

SHE is already a veteran of the catwalk at the age of just 22.

And it seems Cara Delevingne is equally at home on the red carpet, judging by her latest appearance.

The supermodel dazzled in a shimmering Saint Laurent cut-out dress and silver sandals at the premiere of her film Paper Towns in New York. She then seemed to be having the time of her life as she signed autographs and posed for pictures with fans.

And Miss Delevingne looks set to become a familiar face on the big screen, as she will also appear in upcoming films Pan, Suicide Squad and London Fields.

The model plays lead character Margo Spiegelman in coming-of-age drama Paper Towns, which is an adaptation of John Green’s bestselling novel and is released in the UK next month. Mr Green said: ‘Cara was brilliant in the role and brought even more to it than I thought she would. She’s a brilliant actress.’

Miss Delevingne, who was named Model of the Year at last year’s British Fashion Awards, has insisted her blossoming screen career has not come about just because she was already famous, saying: ‘I work really hard and don’t want anyone to think that this is a fluke or I got this because of my social media presence.’

The star added: ‘I’ve wanted to act since I was a child so living your dream is very emotional.’
