DOUGIE FIFE has vowed to make Scotland head coach Vern Cotter realise he made a mistake by leaving him out of his original 46-strong Rugby World Cup training squad. The Edinburgh winger was brought in following the withdrawal through injury of Duncan Taylor but the six-time capped 24-year-old is determined to make the most of his opportunity. ‘I have been given a second chance for the World Cup and it is time to show that I should have been there from the start and to play myself into the final 31,’ said Fife. ‘I was obviously gutted when I got the call to say I hadn’t made the 46 as the World Cup is a massive thing. ‘I want to play in as many warm-up games as possible as they will be a big factor before they chose the final World Cup squad. I want to show my worth.’ LEWIS HAMILTON will carry a tribute to tragic Formula One driver Jules Bianchi, whose funeral took place on Tuesday, on his car or helmet at this weekend’s Hungarian Grand Prix. Hamilton tweeted: ‘I want to make a sticker in loving memory of Jules. Send me ideas and see the winning hashtag on my car/helmet!’
